SULPHUR, Louisiana – Louisiana driver Aaron Jeansonne announced he’ll race in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series this season starting on April 1-2 at the 2-mile circuit of the Palm Beach International Raceway.

“I’m beyond excited to be racing in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series in 2017. After my victory in my first race weekend in the series last year, I’m very confident of my chances of being competitive this year”, the 18-year old race car driver and aircraft mechanic at Northrop Grumman in Lake Charles, Louisiana said.

“I believe a championship in my first full year of competition in the Series will make a huge impact on my career and it’s a great opportunity. I’ll give every ounce of my heart to achieve this goal”, said Jeansonne, who will race a Ray GR-RSC race car with a 2-liter Elite Engine and Cooper Tire Racing Slicks.
Regarding the opening round in Florida, Jeansonne said: “I have seen the layout for the Palm Beach International Raceway. It’s a very flat track with some long, somewhat slow corners compared to many other tracks and it will require patience. I am very confident on delivering good results, so we’ll see what happens.”
The Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series calendar comprises 14 races in seven tracks across the country, with monthly race weekends from April through November except September and the season finale will be held at the NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans on November 11-12.
